1.2 Jewellery Melbourne is a retailer of diamond jewellery including loose gemstones and semi-mount rings.

1.4 If we have to contact you we will do so by telephone or by writing to you at the email address or postal address you provided to us in your order.

1.5 When we use the words “writing” or “written” in these terms, this includes emails.

1.6 We may amend our terms and conditions at any time by posting the amended terms on the Site. All amended terms will automatically take effect immediately on posting. Please check our terms and conditions periodically to inform yourself of any changes. In continuing to use the Site you confirm that you accept the then current terms and conditions in full at the time you use the Site.

2   Ordering from Jewellery Melbourne

2.1 You are deemed to have placed an order with us once you have used our online checkout process. As part of our checkout process you will be given the opportunity to recheck your order and to correct any errors. On receipt of your instruction we will send an acknowledgement detailing the item(s) you have requested.

2.2 Acceptance of an order is deemed to have taken place when we dispatch and send a confirmation email. At this stage the purchase contract will, come into effect and you will be charged unless we have notified you previously that we are unable to accept your order or have received a timely cancellation.

3   Price

3.1   When you submit your Order, you are offering to buy the Product(s) at the price set out in the Order. All transactions are processed in Australian dollars and prices are inclusive of GST in Australia.    

3.2   Delivery charges (where applicable) and any import duty and taxes incurred will be added to the total amount due when you view the Product(s) in your Shopping Bag. The total cost for the Product(s) and any applicable delivery charges will be displayed before you confirm your Order and will be set out in the confirmatory email you receive from us.

4   Payment

4.1 All payments must be made at the time of Confirmation. Payment for all Orders must be by credit or debit card. We accept payment credit or debit card payments via Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Maestro If we are unable to accept or fulfil your Order for any reason then we will refund any money paid by you in respect of the Order. We will not dispatch the Product(s) until we receive payment in full.

4.2 For payment by card, all credit or debit cardholders and bank account holders respectively may be dependent on authorisation and authentication. If the issuer of your payment card or our service provider refuses to, or does not for any reason authorise or validate the payment, we will not be liable in these circumstances for any delay or non-delivery in respect of the Product(s) which you have ordered as a result.

4.3 We do not hold any of your payment details anywhere on the Site. They are passed securely to our payments processor for authorisation by your bank or payment provider.

5   Shipping Policy

5.1   Jewellery Melbourne ships goods Australia wide and internationally. We deliver our products using Fedex and Auspost. We aim to ship Product(s) to the delivery address you have requested in your Order within the time set out in our confirmatory email but we cannot give an exact or guaranteed delivery date.

5.2 If we have not delivered the Product(s) to you within 30 (thirty) days of the date of the Contract, or any other date that we may agree with you, then you may cancel the Contract and we will refund any money paid by you.

5.3 Ownership of the Product(s) will pass to you on delivery.

6   Returns Policy

06. CANCELLATION OF CONTRACTS FOR GOODS AND RETURNS POLICY

6.1 If you wish to cancel your order prior to dispatch please notify us by email to info@jewellery.melbounre Where goods have already been dispatched you must return them to us in accordance with clause 6.2 below.

7 DAY RETURN POLICY

At Jewellery.melbourne we also offer a 7 Day Return Policy. If, for any reason, you happen to be dissatisfied with your purchase, you can return it to us subject to the following terms:

  • The item is returned within 7 days in its original pristine condition.
  • The ring cannot have any engravings unless we provided it.
  • Please include all accompanying certification and guarantees when you return the item.
  • Items damaged in transit while being returned to Jewellery.melbourne will not be entitled for this offer.
  • This policy does not apply to custom made rings and loose diamonds.

Should your purchase have a manufacturing fault, you simply have to provide your proof of purchase and we will repair it free-of-charge, providing it has not been.

6.3 Items not covered by our returns policy include rings that are resized, items with engraving and bespoke designs that we have created, or customised, to your specification. For bespoke designs we can arrange on request for you to see a computer model when the item is being finalised. This ensures you can be sure of the detailing before we cast your piece of jewellery.

6.4 Upon receipt of the returned goods we will examine the items and process your refund as soon as possible, however the payment may take a several days to return to your account.

6.5 The rights to return the goods to us as referred to in clause 6.3 will not apply if the product has been used or has been made or customised specifically for you. The provisions of this clause do not affect your statutory rights.

6.6 All items must be returned via a secure delivery service. You must obtain proof of delivery and ensure the item for a maximum value. DO NOT write Jewellery Melbourne on the packaging when returning it to us. Instead, please write JM Ltd. This will help to prevent the possibility of theft in transit. You must pay for any postage cost yourself if you return an item for a refund/exchange/resize.

6.7 If the item you received was a special order for a non-standard ring size that is outside of our offered range on each product, or if you ordered a ‘bespoke’ item (this is an item we have made and designed for you) you will only be able to return it to us if it is faulty. Our standard sizes for a product are the generally available sizes on our website.

7   Security Policy

We take the privacy of your information very seriously and believe that it is important for you to know what types of information we collect from the site and how we treat information we may receive from you.

7.1 We may collect and store the following personal information about you:

(a) certain information required to register with the Site (including title, first and last name, telephone number, email address and delivery and invoice address);

(b) details of any requests for Products you make through the Site;

(c) billing information such as your credit card number and expiry date; and

(d) other information you generate as a result of Site interactions.  

7.2 Credit or debit card payments will be collected by us. In order for payments to be processed you may need to provide some necessary details to our payment processor. We tell you about this at the point we collect that information on the Site.
